Arsenal may be active in the summer transfer window after he missed again in the Premier League Championship in his third season.
The Giants in North London are desperate to strengthen their forward line this summer as Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka ruined their season and championship earlier in the campaign. As a result, they trailed league leader Liverpool by 12 points after 29 games.
So the Gunners are searching for the market to strengthen their strike force. They are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs keen on Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca. Liverpool and Nottingham Forest are also keeping the label, while Atletico Madrid is interested in the towering center.
Lorenzo Lucca has performed well this season with 10 goals and an assist in the 23 Serie A. The 24-year-old Serie A offensive type caught Arsenal’s attention ahead of the summer transfer window. Udinese is willing to deliver on the striker and hopes to sell him at least €30 million.
Lorenzo Lucca
The injury seriously affected Arsenal’s season, with Javitz and Jesus being ruled out for the rest of the game. Saka resumed training earlier this week after more than three months after hamstring surgery. Gabriel Martinelli also spent some time missing out on the key game.
This leads Leandro Trossard to have the same responsibility to create and score goals, which he hasn’t done yet. In the absence of Havitz and Jesus, Mikel Arteta is forced to use Mikel Merino as a false 9. Although Merino has done a good job in unfamiliar roles, Espanyol has not provided a long-term solution to the team’s goal problem.
There is sufficient literature to prove that Gunners are eager for clinical shooters. Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca has become a target. The Italian, 6-foot-7, is a forward-striker who has led the game for Udinese this season. Despite his height, he quickly penetrated the ground and used his aerial ability to give the Arsenal attack a different dimension. Given the Gunner’s ability from fixtures, possessing Lucca’s magnificent figures will further make their potential in the opposition’s box.
Arsenal, worth about €30 million, had to try to secure Luca’s signature before rivals competed.
