After discussions on the new contract, the looming exit of experienced first-team star Thomas Partey was soon signed to another midfield obstacle that was crucial to Arteta.

This may have accelerated Arsenal’s move against Norgard, with the Gunners quickly agreeing to make him the latest new member after Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, who also recently signed for the club.
Norgaard has been granted permission to accept his Arsenal Medical, so the Danish international will further replace the party unless it is a late disaster. The verdict of 31-year-old Arsenal was made by Brentford fan writer Ian Westbrook.
“Norgaard has played a crucial role in the club’s nearly six years, making nearly 200 appearances in all competitions and was appointed captain in the summer of 2023,” Westbrook said on the BBC.
“His importance to the team can prove that we failed to win any of the four Premier League games he missed last season and have won two wins in the seven games he missed in the last campaign.
“He is a glue that defends the midfield role, protects the defense, wins tackles and makes the offense. This season, he has also become a more regular shooter – he has won 13 shots for the club in six of all games (five games in the Premier League) (5 in nearly half of the total number of the club). We are a weak team.”
Arsenal enters the gameDespite Arsenal’s deal against Nogard, Brazilian news media UOL (via Sports Witness) reported that sports director Andrea Berta is keen on Corinthian midfielder Breno Bidon.
The 20-year-old is not a traditional defensive anchor like Norgaard, in his central role as both a cam and plays more like Captain Martin Odegaard, so their interest makes sense.
UOL noted that the Corinthians sold at least one player this summer to balance the pressure on their books, and Bidon is the “most likely” candidate for Arsenal, Brighton and Wolves.
Arsenal is said to have approached Bidon joining Arteta, who also sold the player for less than his £85m offering clause, which could be as low as £13m.
