However, regardless of Zubimandi’s mysterious comments have caused a lot of sensation in the past few weeks, Arsenal is still fully able to sign Zubimendi this summer after months of talks.
The Spaniard can join one of the two close-knit strikers – Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, both at the center of Arsenal’s talk as Berta’s work (BBC) in the trade.
Even if Nico Williams may join Barcelona, Arsenal is chasing a new winger, while Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is still under attack by Arteta as they want to increase mass in a wide range of areas (football transfer).
Among all these rumored activities, there are reports sharing information that suggests that Arsenal is considering signing another defender.
Brazil’s reports in recent days show that Arsenal is interested in signing Lille’s centre-back Alexandro, who just won his first two senior starts for Brazil, but another highly praised international is also Berta’s idea.
Arsenal aims at Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi
The man is Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi, who looks almost certain to leave Selhurst Park this summer.
The England star is about to sign the last 12 months in the Palace’s contract for Steve Parish, chairman of the Hawks until September 1, to make any huge money.
The parish actually rejected an ambitious £70 million bid from Tottenham’s January window, so they are still unlikely to be pushed when they break up with the 24-year-old “sensational” company.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, the palace shows that the palace may still require up to £60 million for sale, but Arsenal showed interest in signing Guehi regardless of his contract.
“He is now in the final year of his contract, so if Crystal Palace can’t convince him to sign a new deal, it’s one of their last cash opportunities,” O’Rourke told football insiders.
“At the moment, I won’t say he has obvious favorites. I think it’s a public game. We know Newcastle is a long-time admirer, so I’m sure they’ll monitor the situation.
“Arsenal has shown some interest, too. A lot of it will be attributed to the players and what he wants to do. If he is going to Arsenal, there is no guarantee that he will be a regular starter, and this may not be the year Guehi wants to enter the World Cup in particular.
“This will work.”
The Palace captain’s pace and calm ball made him an attractive potential signing for Arsenal, but given both William Saliba and Gabriel were on the court, it would be difficult for him to break into Arteta’s first team regularly.
Arteta has also used Riccardo Calafiori and Jakub Kiwior as fallback options, even though the latter is already associated with the export, which makes you seriously wonder if Guehi’s £60m fee would be better spent elsewhere.
