Guardiola has no concern about the Champions League prospects in Man City, despite the derby slipping

Pep Guardiola insists that he is not worried that Manchester City missed the Champions League in the Champions League after a 0-0 draw with Old Trafford.
City entered the game with a chance to make the top four after Chelsea stalemate with Brentford earlier Sunday.
However, instead of taking advantage of the opportunity and avenging Manchester United’s 2-1 losses in December, City gave little to no avail in the extremely exciting derby.
This means the city is temporarily ranked fifth, fourth behind Chelsea. However, if the EFL Cup winner beats relegated Leicester City on Monday, Newcastle United will cross Newcastle United.
Even though Guardiola rejected any anxiety about the city’s prospects, the first time in Europe’s top game since the 2010-11 season.
Asked about his concern about the situation, Guardiola said: “It’s OK. Now, nothing; eight games [including the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest]Crystal Palace, we will go.
“I would rather have 10 points left, five, six or seven games already qualify, but that’s it.
“It’s Old Trafford. The derby is always hard, so we fight, we’re there, the players give it all.”
The game is marked by a lack of intensity, and the wonder is far from the miracle that this famous fixture has produced in the past few years.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes this reflects the positions both teams have found themselves.
United seems to be coming to an end in the second half of the Premier League for the first time, with the only hope of Europa League in hopes of saving something from the season and qualifying for the Champions League.
The city remains a FA Cup favorite and will compete in the club World Cup that begins in June, but this season has performed well below their usual standards.
“If you look at the moment of both teams, you’re not fighting for the championship,” Amorim told Sky Sports.
“It’s not like winning, you can’t lose a little feeling, and that feeling isn’t here. Just like a coach, it’s hard to say that. We need to fight for big things, and if we do, that feeling will be completely different.”
