After the Dallas Stars scored six goals against Colorado’s Avalanche with a 3-2 lead in Game 5, the Avalanche knew they had to swing to keep the season alive and force Game 7.

In the Avalanche’s first lead, a 2-0 lead turned into a 4-3 deficit. The Avalanche will continue to score three unresolved goals, winning 7-4 and forcing seven games.

Valeri Nichushkin opened the score when his shot was slightly deflected by Ilya Lyubushkin’s skateboard, beating goalkeeper Jake Oettinger. In the slap shot of Cale Makar broke his stick, Artturi Lehkonen extended the lead to 2-0, allowing the puck to land perfectly on Raikonen’s stick, which he poured there and completed the period.
