Hansi Flick insists that Barcelona’s success this season is the result of hard work rather than luck.
As Blaugrana prepares for Wednesday’s Cup Copa del Rey’s clash with Atletico Madrid, the head coach considers every game as a final from now until the end of the season.
Barcelona and Arena played an incredible 4-4 draw in the first leg of the semifinal in February. Now, they meet again in the Metropolitan area to decide who will make the final on April 26, where they will face Real Madrid or Real Sociedad.
“It’s like the final before the final,” Barcelona coach Flick said in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday. “They want to make it to this final and so do we.
“My team, players can be proud of their work. We are working hard, what we achieve is not luck, they win. It’s a positive thing. They can be very proud.
“We know that we haven’t reached that point [anything] – OK, we won [Spanish] Supercopa, but this is the past – now we want to play in the finals, but it’s not easy.

“There is an excellent coach in the competition [Diego] Simeone is an experienced squad who knows how they want to play. You can see it in the game until the last second they are there. It will be a tough game. ”
Atletico Madrid defeated Laliga for the last time in December after defeating Barcelona, while still in the Champions League.
However, their season quickly collapsed and now they are 9 points behind the league rankings and are also defeated by Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Now, with Actletico Copa del Rey, Flick doesn’t think it’s more dangerous than before.
“Maybe this is the most recent title they can win, but it’s the same for us,” he said. “A win and then in the final. And in Laliga, there are a lot of games to play.
“The arena will play the same way they usually play, and it’s no different. They have their own style. The intensity is always high, aggressive. It’s normal. I like their football game and there’s a lot of speed. I like their style, how to play.”
