The club announced this morning that Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall will undergo surgery due to a foot injury and missed the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old was beaten last week at Liverpool and was ruled out of Sunday’s FA Cup defeat.
Now, Newcastle will be out when he meets Liverpool again in the EFL Cup final at Wembley on March 16.
Lewis Hall will miss the rest of the 2024/25 season after an injury to the foot.
After expert scans and advice, Lewis will undergo surgery before he can recover with the club’s medical team.

The ultimate disaster of joy pies
This is Newcastle’s latest blow ahead of the final, with Anthony Gordon building a good rapport with Hall on the left and being suspended after a dispatch to Brighton.
Hall may be selected in Thomas Tacher’s first England team after impressed him with the first two Lions matches against Greece and the Irish Republic.
Tachel next week named the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
England had a problem at left back, Luke Shaw was injured, Ben Chilwell rarely saw Chelsea, and then loaned Crystal Palace in January.
