Good news for players involved in Champions League trophy
It is worth noting that the final of the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held on March 9.
The IPL is a long-term tournament lasting two months and the players also have to face harsh conditions. Date changes may have been made with this in mind.
According to the previous schedule, players participating in the Champions League finals only have four to five days to prepare for the league. But now, they will have two weeks to prepare for the prestigious tournament.
The Championship Trophy will begin on February 19, 2025. Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi will be the host cities for the World Cup in Pakistan.
However, India will play all its matches in Dubai after not getting the required permission from the government to travel to Pakistan. If India advances to the semi-finals or final, they will go on to play in Pakistan.
BCCI new secretary-treasurer officially announced
Apart from discussing the Indian Premier League, the BCCI also formally elected Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia as the new secretaries and treasurers of the board of directors.
They were elected unopposed after the posts were vacated by Jay Shah and Ashish Shelar respectively. Jay Shah is currently the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with a term commencing on December 1, 2024.
