The Spurs already have their own huijsen in the monster’s 18-year-old defender

They may still have a chance to win the Europa League, but this season has been a disaster for Tottenham Hotspurs.

North Londoners will start their campaign, hoping to finish fifth last year and qualify for the Champions League.

However, with less than two months remaining, Ange Postecoglou’s side ranked 14th in the Premier League, losing more than winning.

That being said, the campaign has already had a big positive, and that’s how their youngsters are performing, according to recent reports, Daniel Levy and Co-ops now seem to be planning to add another promising talent to their team in the £50m Dean Huijsen. However, they may already have their own version of the Spanish.

Why the Spurs want to sign Huijsen

With what is the huge summer transfer activity in front of them, why are the Spurs willing to spend a lot of money on Huijsen?

Well, there are several reasons, the first one is their vulnerability, and like Micky van de Ven Ven’s vulnerability and Cristian Romero, the club needs another central defender who can not only fill when needed, but also challenge the two to start a place in the roster, which he can do.

For example, despite still only 19, the Spaniard has made 29 appearances for Bournemouth this season, 24 of which have already begun, and it is an encouraging sign considering that the Cherries have five fewer goals than the league’s North Londoners this year.

Additionally, he won Spain’s first high-end hat last month and looks on track.

Finally, his name also has some really impressive base numbers, with FBREF putting him in the top 1% of the European top five centre-backs in the interception league, the top 2% of unanticipated goals plus assists, the top 4% of the highest assists, the highest 5% of the liquidation, the top 5% of the shooting action, all at 900.

In short, Huijsen will be a great signature for the current and future, but that may be unnecessary, as one of Tottenham’s loanees looks like their teenage version.

Spurs’ own huijsen

The Spurs have several exciting youngsters this season, from Ashley Phillips to Yang Min-hyeok, and it’s probably no surprise for those who follow him that the player we’re talking about is Luka Vušković.

Football Fancast’s Fancast series aims to reveal the best young players in football in the world.

While not ideal, it allowed the youngster to go out on loan, and he had a sensation in Belgium this season with KVC Waterloo.

So, what makes him like Huijsen?

Well, the first and most obvious similarity is that both players are huge, with the Spaniard being 6-foot-6 and the Croat being over 6-foot-4.

Most importantly, similar expectations were placed on the lily white gemstone.

For example, the respected talent scout Jacek Kulig described him as a “real CB” and declared him “a thing that was destined to be great.”

Meanwhile, football analyst Ben Mattinson described the teenager as a “freak athlete” and “freak talent” with a “horror ceiling” on their ceiling.

Ultimately, while the Bournemouth man showed he was someone who could score with one or two goals, the prospect of birth was on another level.

For example, in the first team games this semester, he scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists, which is the average participation goal per 0.31 games, which is incredible for the centre-back.

Ultimately, signing Huijsen is not a bad idea, but Tottenham shouldn’t feel like they need it, as in Vušković, they already have their own version of the Spanish.
