Blue Jackets Go to Their Top Six Looking for Sparks – Hockey Writer – Columbus Blue Jacket

Columbus Blue Jackets are being continuously discontinued and are looking for sparks to keep their offense moving forward. On Monday night, they decided to make a major change to the New Jersey Devils.

The blue jacket will show different top six. In the process, we will see an old line reunion.

New appearance TOP-6

While the bottom six will remain steady against the New York Rangers on Saturday, the top six will make improvements. The all-Russian series of Yegor Chinakhov, Dmitri Voronkov and Kirill Marchenko will be played together in one line.

Then in another line, it will be Adam Fantilli centered around Boone Jenner and Kent Johnson. For head coach Dean Evason, they had to try to make this offense in the most important situation of the season.

“When you don’t succeed, you have to adjust something,” Yvesson said. “So we’re moving some pieces around.”

These new look lines were used at the end of Saturday. Yvesson admitted to like what he saw.

“We went. Especially at the end of the game, we did both lines. We like what we saw. We obviously had a little sample. Did we succeed right away? No. You always try to find a wake-up call. Not that we were doing poorly, but we didn’t play like we played. We had to go back to that. As a coaching staff, there are different ways to try to do this, and that’s what we’re going to do.”

While the staff themselves won’t change from Saturday when it comes to skaters, there’s one change in the lineup. Goalkeeper Jet Greaves will begin Monday with Daniil Tarasov supporting it.

The defense pair will remain the same as Saturday. This means another match that Jack Johnson paired with Damon Severson in the third pair. The top four players stay together for the time being.

As for the injured, Erik Gudbranson slipped away again. It was just a few days before we saw him come back. Additionally, Jake Christiansen returned from an upper body injury and joined the morning skateboard. So is Cole Sillinger. Sean Monahan did not join the main group on Monday.

Werenski & Jenner Stay Confident

Although the results have not yet arrived, the blue jacket is confident that it will eventually achieve its goal. Monday’s victory will bring the Blue Jacket back to WC2.

This is where each of them has to talk about the team on Monday morning.

“We were two points in the playoff position. We were in a great place,” Werenski said. “Obviously, we’ve lost some of it, but there’s nothing before this year, we haven’t faced some adversity. So I think we’re all in a good place. We know we have to win tonight. If you tell us we have 16-17 games left, we’re going to have two points on that, and I think we’ll be excited about it. That mentality is still the same.”

“This time of year, things get worse and the mistakes get bigger. But I feel like we’re just having fun. We love it,” Werenski continued. “It’s one of the things you have to learn when you go through this process. You have to learn a lot and learn how to play. It’s probably more defensive than it’s all year round. As we’ve seen, it’s hard to score goals, but I think that’s what we like. We’re in a great position right now. We know that if we’re doing well for the rest of the season, there’s a good chance we’re playing in the playoffs.”

“We just believe in our game,” Jenner said. “The style we’ve played all year round. It’s done that now. So far, that’s what keeps us moving forward. For us, we don’t have to change anything. We’re just playing hockey in jackets, which is great for us. We have to succeed in the series that way. For us, it’s just playing our identity as our team.”

“This time of year, these games are big and stressful,” Jenner continued. “But that’s what we want to be in this position as athletes to keep these games the same. They’re just going to be more and more important here. There are 16 left, and these games are huge for us. They’re our playoff game. As a group, we want to get into that place. You don’t want to be in another place. All the pressure is great. I think this group can handle it. We’ve gone through a lot of things throughout the season. So for us, we’re just going on.”
