With the revised All-Star Game officially ending, the NHL’s movements returned to normal, and the most critical part of the NHL season began. It was part of the playoff field, where players proved their worth, and the coach made some tough decisions about the playoff members. Every game is important at the moment, and the Edmonton Oilers have a tough performance. They have won 3-6-1 in their last 10 games against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, including five straight wins in the midfield.

A suspicious game like this won’t cut playoff time. Before their game numbering, you might consider trying some changes. Here are some possible options.

Matt Savoie is currently on the NHL roster but has not seen much action. Although these guys (except Savoie) are no longer young, they will still lower the average age of the locker room and provide the oil team with a different look.
We’ve seen what future stars like Savoie can do with existing stars like Draisaitl. We also saw fragments that Hamblin and Philp brought to the NHL team. So, why not try it? This gives them a chance to prove their worth while giving several explosive oil veterans a chance to take a few games off. It allows Edmonton to study the future of its organization while still competing. The only obstacle like this will make them fit the lineup and considerate with the salary cap. But, if possible, do it.
Top three in Edmonton
The main part of any team’s success is chemistry. Playing well together and players that can be executed when put together is the simple secret to victory. The oilers found some key combinations during last year’s long playoffs. Although these lines were a little shaken after the offseason turnover, there were still some works that the team could reunite.
While you often like to spread your top talent in the lineup, sometimes putting it all in one place will do wonders for your offense. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman are a deadly trio who are threatening when they are on the ice.
While there is an argument that putting these three together may weaken the rest of your roster, it should be noted that all the other weapons this crime has. Players like Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Viktor Arvidsson and Evander Kane (waiting for a return) are just some people grabbing this slack. Such a star-studded top line would be a great creativity.
For Edmonton, this is another line where the team seems to have reunited, hopefully forever. Mattias Janmark, Connor Brown and Adam Henrique are three players who seem to play together. Oilers fans remember the line very much as the trio became a fan favorite in the team’s recent playoffs.
The three-man game style is unparalleled and obvious. When creating such lines forces others to basically create entirely new combinations with untested chemistry, I believe this makes Edmonton’s depth much needed to be enhanced.
