According to reports, the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) will meet on Friday to discuss the future of Brazilian coach Dorival’s junior year.
Sources told ESPN BRASIL that Dorival’s team was hit by world champions and painful rival Argentina in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match, prompting CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues to quickly arrange the meeting.
Sources said that while the review meeting between Dorival and CBF was a daily activity during the international window, a major failure in Buenos Aires accelerated a face-to-face encounter with the coaching staff.
However, it is understood that dorival has not been informed of any decisions regarding its future.

Meanwhile, the report continued to circulate, indicating that CBF is paying attention to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti to replace Dorival. Flamengo boss Philip Louis and Jorge Jesus, currently in charge of Aral, are also considered potential candidates.
Selecao has experienced turbulent times in the qualifying round. They are currently ranked fourth on the table with four games left, winning six, winning three and losing five.
The top six all reached the World Cup finals and ranked seventh in the intercontinental seasons next year in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Dorival is a 62-year-old former defensive midfielder since January 2024 and has been the head coach of the Brazilian national team.
His management career began in 2002, where he coached only in his own country, over 20 clubs, including several clubs with Santos and Sao Paulo.
