Bettinardi not only assembles putters in the United States—they make them here. In fact, their entire operation was exhausted in the facilities in Tinley Park, Illinois, outside Chicago. We’re talking about the original premium metal block at one end, and the Touring-grade flat rod is pushing out the other end.
Why is it important?
For beginners, quality control. Microns are important when you make precision instruments like push rods or wedges. (Golf Nerd Flex) Bettinardi controls every step from milling to finishing the process, which means stricter tolerances, fewer mistakes and fewer compromises. They don’t have to ship parts on half of the world, nor do they have to rely on third-party factories to juggle multiple brands. It’s always internal.
It also allows for rapid innovation. Want to try a new facial milling mode? Fresh groove shape? A new wedge grinding? Bettinardi can laugh at it and test it in the same building – overseas suppliers don’t have months of round trip. In the modern world of golf, this speed and flexibility is enormous, especially when working with Tour players yesterday who knew exactly what they wanted and needed.
Family factors
Bettinardi is still family owned, and it’s not just the feeling good on the brochure. Founder Bob Bettinardi made name milling for Big Brands in the 90s and then decided to do his own way in 1998. Now, Bob runs the company with his son Sam Bettinardi, who runs the company, brings new school energy and marketing while sticking to old-fashioned precision and craftsmanship and building a brand.
Keeping a family business means Bettinadi’s answer to clients rather than shareholders. There is no pressure to cut corners, chase trends or pressure on the ship’s production to the edge of the mat. Just relentlessly paying attention to some of the best golf equipment and accessories on the planet.

Wait, do they make iron and wedges too?
Yes. Bettinardi may be known for putting, but they are far from being a single bar of pony. In recent years, they have brought their design expertise to iron and wedges, producing boutique gear that rivals “others” anything.
These are not mass-produced sticks with Bettinadi badges on them. We are talking about forged components with tribody structure and amazing shapes, tight tolerances and handmade forged components. Their attention to the details of putting is the same and is now applied to the scoring club.
They also like experimentation. This internal feature allows them to test different materials, designs and finishes without typical production bottlenecks. This is their own development, which leads to some really cool running and player prototypes.
Antidote: Traditionally rigorous twists of technology
While Bettinadi is known for its clean, classic shapes, they aren’t afraid to push boundaries. Example: Antidote Zero Torque Push, which is a step in balancing technology and ultra-stability.

This thing is another animal. With its unique axle configuration and mass properties used to kill unnecessary twists, this is a perfect example of how Bettinardi becomes completely crazy when needed. The tourer is using it. Amateurs love it. It is built entirely in their Chicago facility. The antidote even entered my bag.
Enter the hive: Where art meets metal
If you want to see the wild side of Bettinardi, go to the Honeycomb. Here, limited edition putters, irons, wedges, scalp and accessories can get boutique treatment. Think glittering finishes, rare materials, handmade stamps of artwork and collector-level details.
Honeycomb is the way Bettinardi can stay interesting and fresh without damaging the core product line. The collector ate it. The principal of the beehive is like a sneaker drop–it disappears in a few seconds. Some even end up at resale sites that outweigh the price of brand new custom irons.
Travel Verification (in a serious style)
Bettinardi may be boutiques, but they are not only suitable for collectors and weekend warriors. Their putters have achieved over 100 professional wins worldwide, including on the PGA Tour, LPGA, European Tour and Korn Ferry.
Big names like Matt Kuchar, Jason Kokrak and Fred used Bettinardi Gear in the competition. Kuch even plays the custom arm lock model designed for him, which helps to bring the style to the mainstream.
Bettinadi is not just a name on the hat. Their travelers worked closely with Bob, Sam and the internal team to develop new models and adapt existing ones. Real-time feedback goes directly to the next iteration. This is the power of having production from beginning to end.
Don’t sleep on accessories
Bettinardi is not only about what’s in your schoolbag. They built a thriving side business in premium accessories: bosses, ball markers, isolation tools, and even leather goods and clothing. Most of it is made in the US, all screaming craftsmanship and cool factor.
These are more than just throws. The design team treats accessories with the same attention as the club itself. Limited running, seasonal decline, creative collaboration, like golfers’ streetwear, is made only in CNC machines and not in sports shoes factories.

Not just putter companies
Bettinardi doesn’t want to be everything to everyone. But what they did, they did it very well – they did it here under a roof in the United States, led by the Bettinadi family. They don’t need to be the biggest ones. They just want to be the best job: precisely crafted tools for players who care about performance, feeling and style.
From iconic putters to forged wedges, from honeycombs to antidotes, from roaming bags to leather scalp, Bettinadi proves that premium golf gear doesn’t need to come from the corporate empire. Sometimes, just one family, a vision and a few pieces of steel from Chicago.
