Calgary Flames Want to Expand Dustin Wolf and Keep Dan Vladar

Can Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar get expansion in Calgary this summer?

Calgary Flame handled some room business over the weekend when they signed Matt Coronato for a seven-year extension with an AAV of $6.5 million. Calgary continues to maintain his desire to be a player in Flame Unity, which is a great value for the rising players and will be a future part of the organization.

Speaking of moving forward, the Flames have a few other new contract players, including goalkeepers Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar. Vladar is an unrestricted free agent. Wolf entered the final year of a two-year deal, paying $850,000 per season. Wolf is still a restricted free agent at the end of the contract, but like Rasmus Andersson, who will become UFA in the summer of 2026, Wolf is eligible to sign the extension on July 1.

Calgary Flame General Manager Craig Conroy joins Calgary Sportsnet Radio. He was asked to expand goalkeeper Dustin Wolf to make him the guy for a long time and potentially keep Dan Vladar in 1B position.

Host: “Craig Conroy, the General Manager of the Calgary Flames, joining us here in the Atlas Pizza and Sports Bar, guest hotline Big Show, Rusuc and Rose Sportsnet, 960 the Fan. Obviously, you have a ton of RFAs, but you also got a player on your roster, Craig, and your goaltender, Dustin Wolf, who could potentially sign you an extension starting July 1. Is that something that’s, yeah, I get you have all this RFA job, but it’s possible that you think, oh, maybe we can do this little business, too.”

Craig Conroy: “Yes, we have to look at everything. Once we get to that, it’s obvious that Dustin has had a great time. We’re tempted to see his mindset, his mindset and where his team is on the other end. Obviously, it won’t be possible until July 1, but, like I said, like I said, we’ll be open.

Like, it makes it easier for me, well, how are we going to build this team forward, know, well, we locked this piece, and that piece was locked, and then, now, what, how, how, what, what we need to bring to take the next step and get into the playoffs. I mean, that’s the ultimate goal, to get into the playoffs. ”

Host: Connie, just need to contact, maybe so is (Dan) Vladal. I mean, I know he is not restricted. For him, he played well for you this season. Somewhat are you thinking? ”

Conroy: “Yes. I mean, we’ve talked to Vlaki and his representatives, and you, Connor, when the agency comes, guys, they won it. It’s one thing. We’re happy to have Vladi come back. We have an idea in the semester and we’re going to look at it again. But, in his career, he can go see a Peck.

NHL Rumors: Calgary Flames and Utah Hockey Club

But we really want Vlaki to come back. I thought he did a great job this year, and I think the two strung together was very cooperative. But again, you have to both parties be willing to sign the deal. And I think when you get to that, sometimes they just want to see and see what’s out there. ”
