Hilary Knight’s three-pointer game puts Boston Fleet to beat Ottawa (5-2) – Hockey Writer

Ottawa alleges hosting the Boston Fleet on Saturday, March 15 for the fourth session of the 2024-25 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season. The fleet won the first three games and they continued to win today. The fleet won the game with a 5-2 victory.

Game review

Despite Boston’s two penalties and Ottawa accepted a penalty, no goals were scored in the first phase. The period ended, with Boston taking seven shots on the goal and Ottawa taking nine shots.

Tereza Vanisova sat down and tripped in seven minutes of the second phase. One minute later, Boston scored quickly. Shay Maloney received the puck from near the goal line of Susanna Tapani’s pass. She passed by Hilary Knight in front of the net. Guarens Philips saved the savings, but Alina Muller stood on the other side of the goal line. She fired the gun and the puck entered the back of the net.

With the second left in the second, the allegations tied up the game. Shiann Darkangelo passes the hockey through the board and discovers Ronja Savolainen. She used a hard pass to send the puck into the neutral zone, and Vanisova was able to pick it up. She surpassed two fleet players who flanked her, and she owned it when Aerin Frankel tried to pick up the puck as she exited the crease. She slid to the wide web and scored in the last second of the game.

Two minutes later in the third phase, tourists broke their tie. Hannah Brandt picked the hockey, which was a failed match. She passed it around the board by Emily Brown of the Blue Line. Brown fired the shot, but Theresa Schafzahl brought the puck into the net, bringing Boston into two goals.

Ten minutes later, their lead was just an extension of the Cavaliers. Jill Saulnier kicked a rebound puck out of the alleged offensive zone. In a breakout place, the Knights picked up the loose puck and slid onto the net. She surpassed two accused players to defend her. She fired, scoring Boston’s third goal.

Two minutes away, the accusation pulled Philips to try to make a comeback. Saulnier, who owned the puck in a missed pass, started slid on the net. She passed on to Knight who was accompanying her. She handed it to Saulnier, who fell on the ice. Despite her fall, the hockey still found its target on the back of the network.

With 49 seconds left in the third second, Lexie Stoodiza scored the second empty net goal to consolidate the victory. She stole the puck from Ottawa when the charges attempted to enter the offensive zone. She shot a quick shot online and the puck entered the empty target.

After 20 seconds, the charge finally came back. Victoria Bach shot and Frankel stopped the game. Natalie Snodgrass picked up the rebound and tilted the puck into the net, bringing the charges into two goals. Snodgrass’ first of the season isn’t enough to keep viewership at this point. The fleet will return home and prepare to host Montreal Victoire on Tuesday, March 18. The charges will also play the New York siren on Saturday, March 22.
