Talisca

Former Al-Nassr forward Talisca said the club was nine points behind Saudi professional league leader Al-Ittihad after the club defeated Al-Orobah for the first time on Friday.

Stefano Pioli’s side suffered a second loss in three league matches despite five-time Ballon d’Or D’Or Cristiano Ronaldo and £65million new signing Jhon Duran attacks, while former Burnley and Charlton midfielder Johann Gudmundsson finished second in the second-tier winners of the second season last season.

“[Duran] Talisca, who left the club for Fenerbahce on January 29, said: “I am an excellent player and will do a lot for this club.

“The problem is that you always want to blame someone for failure, but you can’t see where the real mistake is.

“Stop doing this all the time. You know where the error is, you’re just afraid to say it. The most important thing is that you want to do to Duran what they did to me to benefit others.”

Al Nassr: Talisca Statistics

Brazil Talisca scored eight goals in 15 matches for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Professional League and the AFC Champions League this season.

The 31-year-old has won 75 matches in 97 of 97 matches in the club’s nearly four years, but ruled out five consecutive matches in the September appointed Pioli, but before heading to Turkey’s super assistant.

He scored one goal in four Super Road matches, scored three goals for Mourinho’s side in two Turkish Cups and made two appearances in the Europa League.

Al Orobah vs Al Nassr: Pioli’Paradox’

“Our team has performed well, and it’s great,” said Via Alriyadiyah, who won the Italian title with Milan in 2022, but was fired by Rossoneri in May after more than four years in charge.

“We did a great job on the court, and it was a tough paradox: keep your team good and lose. We had a lot of attacks and didn’t score from it, but Al-Orobah had two opportunities and took advantage of them well.”

Pioli reportedly said the cold weather at Sakaka al-jouf University Stadium gave his roster “positive energy” but advised his players to take only two days off before losing the second time in three league games.

AL-NASSR is the next move when they visit Iranian opponent Esteghlal in the first leg of the 16th round on Monday (4pm).
