According to a new report, Chelsea is negotiating to sign a Brazilian miracle, who has played in the first team at the age of 16.
Chelsea plays an early role in the market when Denner Evangelista signs
Chelsea made a new signing over the weekend in the form of Brazilian defender Denner Evangelista, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Blues had agreed to pay £11.5 million for the 17-year-old. Romano said Denner is about to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but he didn’t join his new club until he turned 18 in 2026.
Denner is just the latest news in the growth of young Brazilians, joining clubs in recent years, including Deivid Washington, Andrey Santos and Angelo. Most notably, young winger Estevao (commonly considered one of the best young talents in world football) will join the Blues in the summer and agree to return to West London’s initial £29 million in June.
The 17-year-old’s upcoming arrival has excited Chelsea fans for his sensational display of Palmeiras this season, hoping he will bring some much-needed energy to the last third of Enzo Maresca.
Bruce is also in transfer negotiations for long-term targets Gabriel MEC
Apparently, according to TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey, Chelsea is still pursuing the signature of Gremio attacking midfielder Gabriel Mec. Bailey claims the Blues failed to land the 16-year-old MEC last summer but has now held talks with Gremio again and hopes they can reach a deal.
Chelsea is said to be working on the MEC landing, and he has already awarded his debut earlier this year by manager Gustavo Quinteros, who has played first-tier football at Arena DoGrêmio. They will face matches from Barcelona, but, they are also passionate about young people.
Analyst Ben Mattinson represents Neymar Sr., the father of MEC, and has been compared with former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain stars.
“Nemar’s style of play, from the same academy (Grêmio) in Ronaldinho. “Mac’s feet are able to play skills so quickly that he can easily deceive the defender.
After MEC made his Gremio debut in January, Mattinson wrote: “There is a lot of confidence to drive defensively and bring players to him to create space. MEC is the biggest talent in his age group and another prospect to prepare for a breakout season.”
