Enzo Maresca will welcome Pedro and Gittens in two deals worth £110 million north.
Chelsea was given a green light for the highly rated attack duo sealed switch when their fourth total price Gittens was accepted, the club would pay £55m for the British service, while Pedro arrived for another £55m, which could add £60m.
In the case of Liam Delap, Pedro and Gittens summed up Chelsea’s major transfer deals and will soon follow West Ham Winger’s Mohammed Kudus.
The Ghanaian also attracted the interest of Tottenham Hotspur, who held talks with Kudus and Hammers (Fabrizio Romano), but according to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea is by no means a game.
Chelsea is ‘Next Top Target’ in Mohammed Kudus talks
Recent reports suggest that Chelsea is a suitor for Kudus, and given their tense business relationships (targets), West Ham obviously prefers to join the Bruce with the Spurs.
Hammers and Tottenham have not reached any deal at all since Scott Parker moved to Hotspur Way in 2011, and Phillips now reports that Chelsea competes directly with Thomas Frank’s team in pursuit of the 24-year-old.
Chelsea are clearly negotiating for Kudus and working to reach a deal, and the former Ajax sensation is eager to move to Stamford Bridge, although he is eager to withdraw from West Ham, which means he is the same for Tottenham.
Phillips said through his alternative: “Chelsea is working hard to sign Mohammed’s pleasure! But because of Tottenham’s move forward in the trade, they may have to be very fast. Newcastle and Saudi clubs are also keen.”
“Chelsea is definitely working hard right now – maybe not even dependent on selling the players in the first place. That’s because other clubs are trying to get Kudus in, and Chelsea has identified him as their next offensive target. Chelsea and West Ham are currently negotiating for Kudus, but as stated, the Spurs are moving forward.
“In terms of the players, we heard he wanted Chelsea but was also content with the Spurs. He just longed to see the eyes with Graham Potter and thought Chelsea was his ideal move.
“The Blues have wanted kudus since he was in Ajax and will continue to try hard and agree to the agreement to bring him this window.”
West Ham is reportedly ready to accept a £60 million bid from the loose winger, which will bring the Chelsea window to about £200 million.
In last season’s Premier League, only City’s Jeremy Doku had a greater success than Kudus in every 90 divisions, and although this overall lacks tables compared to his outstanding debut at the London Stadium.
Kudus’ directness, pace and strength on the ball are obvious, but Chelsea will be eager to not overspending as he has seen a £50m offer rejected him (Simon Phillips).
According to Phillips, they can obviously provide players with conversations with West Ham in a separate “informal swap” so that’s definitely someone to follow in the coming days.
