Cologuard Classic Winners and History

Cologuard Classic is the current avatar of Tucson Conquistadores Classic, the version was first held in 2015.

The event is held at Omni Tucson National Resort (Catalina course). The course was originally designed by Robert Bruce Harris in 1961 and has since been redesigned by Red Lawrence, Robert von Hagge/Bruce Devlin and Tom Lehman.

The event is a 54-hole stroke game with no cuts.

Current sponsor Cologuard is a manufacturer of non-invasive screening tests for colorectal cancer.

The Tucson Conqueror was a Tucson businessman founded in 1961 by the late Roy Drachman, providing extracurricular support for “the athletes they deserve and other community sports events.

Starting with the annual Sports Awards banquet, the group adopted the WGC-Accenture Championships and Dove Mountain’s WGC-Accenture competition championships in the following years.

The group currently has 55 active members and a total of 197 members. In addition to its professional golf activities, the Tucson Conquistadores Foundation.

The main beneficiaries of the Conquer Games’ fundraising efforts for the tournament were the first tees for Tucson and Southern Arizona Youth Sports Programs.

In 2022, winner Miguel Angel Jimenez recorded two A-levels in his three-round matches, taking a four-shot lead.
