Winnipeg Jets goalkeeper Connor Hellebuyck won the award of the 2025 Hart Memorial Trophy, “granted to “the player considered the most valuable to his team.”
It was the first time that the aircraft of any era had won the NHL’s most outstanding regular season award and the first goalkeeper to win Hart in a decade (the last time was the 2015 Montreal Canadian Carey Price.
Hellebuyck reached new dominance this season and played a key role in helping the Jets win the team’s first presidential trophy. The 31-year-old saved expectations on an average of 47-12-3, 2.00 goals, .925 percentage savings, eight occlusions and 41.6 goals.
At today’s NHL Awards, the NHL also announced that he was the 2025 Vezina Trophy Championship (granted to the league’s best goalkeeper.) Now he has one Hart, three Vezinas (2025, 2024, 2020, 2020) and two William M. Jennings Trophies (2025, 2025, 2024.).

Hellebuyck scored 1,346 points and 81 votes.
He won an award, the fact that he is usually the feat of the league’s highest producer. The Association of Professional Hockey Writers, who voted on the awards, requires a lot of accomplishment, considering the goalkeeper’s overall work and team influence more than the striker, but they are just making him win Leon Draisaitl (second, 1,209 points) and Nikita Kucherov (third, 973 points, 973 points).
Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilers) and Kucherov (Tampa Bay Lightning) have excellent seasons. Draisaitl scored 106 points (52 goals and 54 assists) in his second season, while Kucherov had 121 points (37 goals and 84 assists).
