Daniel Dubois is looking to “stop” Oleksandr Usyk's run of success against the British boxer, knocking out opponent after opponent to make the fight look easy. Usyk has a 7-0 record against Great Britain and currently looks unbeatable.

Can anyone stop Usyk?

It might not be a good idea for Dubois to piss off Usyk, as he has already lost to Usyk once, a ninth-round knockout on August 26, 2023. He would destroy the momentum he had gained since that horrific experience.

It would be smarter for Dubois to focus on trying to get a rematch with Anthony Joshua because it's a winnable fight that will pay huge amounts of money.

IBF heavyweight champion Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) believes he is the man who can end the run of bad luck for former two-division undisputed champion Usyk.

I don’t know why Usyk beating his compatriot bothers Dubois so much because they would lose to other fighters if they were willing to fight them. If you put Joshua or Fury next to Martin Bakole, they would be whipped as badly as Usyk, if not more.

Dubois: The British’s last hope?

“The time has come; someone has to stop it. When that moment comes, I will be ready. He was lucky last time.

“It's not a small blow. You never saw him catch the ball on the floor. Last time he was lucky. Next time, he's not so lucky. I'll be ready for him. I'll be there for him. It's too much. I'm challenging him. I want to be undisputed and get all the belts, but I want to be undisputed.

“It was a close fight. In the late rounds, he got the advantage,” Dubois said of Usyk's Dec. 21 rematch victory over Tyson Fury. “It's going to be a big fight between me and either one of them, Fury or Usyk. That's my mindset right now.

“I've been a competitor for a long time. I'm a champion and I want to act like a champion and take no prisoners. I want to run through Usyk like a train,” Dubois said.

The way Alexander dominated the Gypsy King; Tyson Fury made it clear in their rematch last month that he owns the boxers from Britain and will continue to beat them until he's old. The 36-year-old Fury looked old in the rematch with Usyk, and it was no surprise that he was defeated. That first fight took something away from him, leaving behind the battered, tired-looking fighter that Usyk faced last month.
