Derby faces Blackburn in game against Forsyth

Derby County faces Blackburn Rovers in the game to sign a versatile midfielder with Craig Forsyth, according to a new report.

Earlier this week, Derby announced that experienced guard Forsyth had signed a new two-year contract to stay with the Rams. The left-back contract is due to expire at the end of this month, but John Eustace, Forsyth’s teammate in his game career, decided to keep the 36-year-old at the club until 2027.

Forsyth avoided relegation to the league, playing for the Rams 39 times in the championship game. In these appearances, the defender managed to score an impressive three goals and scored four assists. The latest contract will allow Forsyth to extend his football career to 20 years, and the contract will also see Derby support him in the coaching position.

As Eustace decided to maintain valuable defense experience in a fan forum held in Pride Park, the Derby owner revealed that signing new attackers was a priority for the club this summer given their lack of goals last season.

Eustace said through BBC Sport: “I would love to play four, have some exciting offensive wings and two good shooters.”

This is because the Rams have reached a deal with Luton Town to sign forward Carlton Morris, who will receive medical treatment after returning on holidays.

Derby signs Russell in game against Blackburn

Pride Park doesn’t seem to stop there, because according to the football league world, Derby is eager to sign midfielder Jon Russell.
