Cristiano Ronaldo reflects on another setback to win a big trophy with Al Nassr and admits that “dreams must wait” lost in the semifinals of the AFC Champions League on the Saudi side.
Ronaldo missed a great opportunity as Al Nassr lowered Jeddah’s Kawasaki Frontale 3-2 and cut a frustrating figure after the last whistle and demonstrated with himself in the central circle.
“Sometimes the dream has to wait,” he posted on social media after the loss. “I am proud of this team and everything we have put in on the court. Thank you to all the fans who believe in us and stand by us in every step of our way. Your support means the world.”

Ronaldo continues to trophy drought
The 40-year-old joined AL NASSR in 2022, scoring 91 goals in 102 games, but it won only one small trophy, the Arab Club Champion.
And, since Al Nassr seems unlikely to overhaul Saudi professional league leader Al Ittihad – who trails eight points on the side of Karim Benzema-Spearheed with five games left – it seems unlikely to get redemption at home.
Extensive reports suggest that Portuguese superstar Ronaldo will extend his stay in Saudi Arabia with another lucrative contract, but has not yet been officially announced.

Ronaldo was frustrated at death
Wednesday’s disappointment will likely inspire him to stay in the Middle East and make up for the setbacks on the card when Sadio Mane canceled the early opener of Tatsuya Ito.
But the Japanese once again regained their lead in the first four minutes of the half-time game with Yuto Ozeki. Akihiro Ienaga has 14 minutes left after 11 minutes left with 14 minutes left with 14 minutes left.
