According to a recent report, Leeds United is now ready to take action to sign the “huge” defender if they will be promoted to the Premier League.
Leeds want to strengthen their midfield this summer
The whites have eight games left to gain a spot in the Premier League next season. Given how they have performed so far, Daniel Farke’s team will go along the way and secure promotions, although fans can understand.

Leeds and 49ers hope to sign new 23 y/o int’l forward with Mitrovic
Leeds knows Aleksandar Mitrovic’s talent very well.
If this is done, it is expected that this summer will be a busy time for the Yorkshire side as they are already linked to the moves of several new midfielders.
Indeed, Farke is looking to strengthen the cabin with injury issues this season. According to Graeme Bailey, Leeds United News is through Leeds United News and plans to sign Kalvin Phillips, who is currently on loan from Manchester City this summer after his current loan in Ipswich Town ends.
The Tractor Boys looked unlikely to move the midfielder to Portman Road into the permanent switch, while Pep Guardiola wasn’t planning for the British. So he may move again this summer, with Leeds wanting to re-sign their former midfielder. His salary is allegedly a stumbling block to a permanent return to Elland Road, so whites are seeking to make a loan deal.
Leeds prepares to sign Bundesliga defender action
If promotions are locked down to top flight, journalist Ben Jacobs told me that Leeds are ready to compete for defender Nico Elvedi in the summer because he is interested in the move as long as they are on top flight.
In January, Elvedi was wanted in person, but the players were not keen on getting to the championship all mid-season. But given that interest has not disappeared since Farke started to learn about the player from his time at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Jacobs noted that Elvedi would be “prepared” for the Premier League, which is a deal against whites given that he can play in two positions.
“That’s why, as I revealed a few months ago, Nico Elvedi climbed onto Leeds’ radar. He is another player who doesn’t want to step in the middle of the season and he feels he’s ready for the Premier League, not the championship,” he said. Jacobs told me about sports.
“And, although Elvedi is more of a central defender, he is a central defender and left back, equally comfortable in both positions. Leeds can kill two birds with a stone there and allow a player who can play in more than one position. ”

Elvedi, who is described as a “great player”, is still signed at Mönchengladbach until 2027, but it is believed that a price of around £10 million may be enough for Leeds to strengthen their defense this summer. The 28-year-old’s potential arrival may allow him to join Joe Rodon as the club’s two main centre-backs.
