Gianluigi Donnarumma is still glowing for Paris Saint-Germain, despite still wearing scars from a terrible facial injury in December.
The Italian International team played a key role, PSG eliminated Liverpool from the Champions League in the 16th stage and will score when Aston Villa visits the Prince in the first leg of the quarter-final tomorrow night.
How does Donnarumma get scars?
The incident happened on December 18, 2024 against Monaco at PSG.
Donnarumma came out and covered a shot from Wilfried Singo and was successful, but unfortunately the Monaco defender accidentally grabbed the goalkeeper’s face as he tried to cross him, opening a deep explosion on his right cheek.

Singo wore a yellow card, but escaped further punishment with referee Francois Letexier because he believed the contact was accidental.
PSG boss Luis Enrique declined to criticize LeTexier, telling Bein Sports: “The referee decides? I do nothing, I can’t see the action, but it’s always difficult when you see it like this.
“The player is not going to hurt. It’s hard for the referee to play like this.”
Singo quickly apologized on social media, saying: “My gestures were obviously not intentional, but then I was able to see a significant injury on his face.
“I wish you a good recovery.”

Donnarumma was arrested in training on January 2 after Christmas break. The scar is still visible – which may last for many years – but the 26-year-old told the club’s internal media channel that he was “good, I’m well recovered”.
Donnarumma again faced Monaco in the trophy championship on January 5. Singo did not participate in the competition when he was suspended.
