With Arsenal’s adventures in Europe prioritizing the back end of the season, Mikel Arteta has made the last two Premier League games a chance to spin the team.
The title is not going to go in the direction of the Emirates stadium this season, and the manager is also aware that it is the same, choosing to connect his biggest star to Real Madrid’s austerity.
Despite a 1-1 win against Everton a week ago, the strategy has certainly paid off in the middle of the week after a huge win over Real Madrid.
After two appearances, Bukayo Saka looks rejuvenated. His return to the club has been well managed.
That said, the club’s league format does have many shortcomings, winning two of their past seven league games. The title now is nothing more than a dream, and that’s not surprising.
So, with Brentford’s other 1-1 draw with Brentford in this weekend’s rotation, the guys on the edge didn’t do much to make more regular starts claims.
Arsenal’s biggest underperforming against Brentford
It is safe to say that the draw with Brentford is more calmer than the successful tear-tear against Madrid on Tuesday night.
This is summarized by the huge changes in the Gunners team. Leandro Trossard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney and Ethan Nwaneri are showing up, while shooter Thomas Partey starts at right back.
Nwaneri can’t be as dazzling as we know it, but it’s not a bad sign. Tierney lasted for over an hour, scored memorable in the process, not allowed to score goals, and responded well to the threat from Bees Talisman Bryan Mbeumo.
But as for Zinchenko and Trossard, they really are really disappointing.
The latter went to the best of the ball and created opportunities, but he lacked the threat of goal and proved why Arteta favored Mikel Merino in that central forward berth since Kai Havertz was injured.
Trossard did find the net against Everton a week ago, but that marks his first league goal since the North London Derby in January.
Trossard had only five touches in Saturday’s box, well below Gabriel Martinelli’s 11, and he showed it well, noting that it was another “invalid display” and hence his 5/10 match rating.
Nevertheless, at least he is not as ineffective as Zinchenko.
Zinchenko’s performance in numbers vs. Brentford
It was a challenging and difficult season for the Ukrainian, who had little to win a lot of game time.

Football Fancast’s blackboard series introduces tactical discussions in global competitions.
Indeed, despite 25 matches, the 28-year-old actually only played 11 times in the Premier League. He also only started three league games.
It’s not surprising when you consider the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori last summer and the emergence of Hale End superstar Myles Myles Lewis-Skelly.
As a result, Zinchenko’s last two appearances were actually in the midfield. He played against PSV in the Champions League, starting with the role of Odegaard and earning excellent range effort in the first half.
When he dominated the Netherlands, he had a poor influence on Brentford. He and Nwaneri were wasting a series of first half corners to sum up his display.
Sticking to play the game, the ball was hit into Zinchenko, and ultimately failed to really control the situation.
His influence lacks influence because he has nine fewer touches than goalkeeper David Raya’s statistics. It’s really a grim reading.
Worse, the former Manchester City star failed to provide a key pass, register for a cross or complete a dribble.

While PSV games remind him of quality, it’s a reminder of why Arsenal must cash in on him in the summer. The goal gave him a 5/10 rating and pointed out that he was “very quiet”.
If the Londoner sees Madrid again in a few days, Ateta may change regularly in the Premier League, but Zinchenko shouldn’t start over.
At left back, Tierney made more claims when Calafiori or Lewis-Skelly was not selected, and midfielder still has a lot of options to choose from before him.
This is likely to be the start of his last Arsenal color.
