Tottenham Hotspur manager Angel Postecoglou kicked off critics after taking his side to the Europa League final against Manchester United by defeating Bodo/Glimt 2-0.
The Spurs have no trophy since the 2008 League Cup success, but second-half goals from Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro confirmed their position in the Bilbao final on May 21.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been struggling in the Premier League this season, but the Spanish winner will be in the Champions League next season.

Postecoglou said: “It will frustrate a lot of people, no!
“The latest thing is that if we win, neither of us can get the trophy, they just want to take the team photos because we are not worth it.
“I mean, who cares if we are struggling in the league? Why is that important? If it’s so easy to get to the finals, why wouldn’t everyone in the top three do that? It’s an independent thing. It has nothing to do with the league format.
“It’s not great to know about our league form. We understand our struggles. A lot of it is because of the (injury) situations we have been in, but how can we reduce our achievements to the finals?
Passing through? Shooting? The Spurs won’t care! 🤩
Pedro Porro’s cross shot found the post at a distance and went into the back of the net, where the Spurs were almost there…5-1 in general!

“I don’t care who is struggling, who is not. I think we and Manchester United have both won the right to be there.
“I’m just so happy for the players, the staff, and especially our supporters. There are a few hundred here tonight and I’m sure I’ll remember thousands of going home tonight.
“We gave them some real hope and dreams and we can do something special this year.”
Given that the fishing town has only a population of about 55,000, Bodo’s run has captured the imagination by the last four games, but head coach Kjetil Knutsen admits the best teams have experienced it.
He said: “We should congratulate Tottenham on a good plan. They strangled our free game and took the rhythm. It became a game we never really entered.
“They have the energy and strength. They want to make it to the finals.
“We have no excuses other than meeting better teams.”
