Everton enters the game to sign “Wonderful” star

Everton manager David Moyes aims to strengthen the team before the club’s first season at the new stadium.

Toffees have not signed this summer so far, but there are several positions that need improvement ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Much depends on how much Moyes has to spend in the transfer window, and he may have to make a sale or two to fund a potential move.

It looks like the club is associated with a Juventus star who can turn Iliman Ndiaye into Everton’s next Iliman Ndiaye…

Everton watches Serie A stars

According to news media Miketo, the Toffees are interested in taking action for Juventus midfielder Timothy Weah this summer.

The report noted that four European clubs were keen on Americans, including Tottenham Hotspur, and several clubs who declined to be named.

Regarding the move, no price tag was mentioned, but with Weah’s deal with the Serie A giant three years left, Moyes will have to pay a good fee to sign him.

Obviously, the club needs more offensive reinforcements, especially on the right wing, and Weah fits the bill.

Not only that, he might be another Iliman Ndiaye of Moyes.

Why Everton must sign Timothy Weal

Ndiaye is arguably one of the bright sparks of a season that will not be remembered deeply.

Senegal International scored 11 goals for the Toffees last season, without him, who knows where they would complete it?

Compared to the wingers in the top five leagues in Europe, Ndiaye is the eleventh player with Weah.

The two registered similar statistics on a series of metrics last semester, including targets and assists (seven vs nine), 90 shots (1.15 vs 1.3), shooting moves per 90 (1.98 vs 2.41), target percentage (42.9) and crosses (44 vs 38).

This series of statistics proves that if he moves to the Premier League, WEAH can replicate Ndiaye’s success at the club.

Having another offensive plan like the Star of Senegal would be beneficial for Moyes. This is for sure.

Despite his talent, Vail moved to Lill until 2019. He did not settle in the club’s 107 games, and he scored 16 goals, which blocked the move to Juventus.

The 2024/25 season is his most effective. Not only did he find the back of the net six times, but the American also recorded five assists for the old lady.

Brendan Rodgers once called Weah “wonderful” on a loan to Celtic. Can England’s new start finally see the player live up to his potential?

With Ndiaye on the left and Weah on the right, Moyes can have the perfect formula for causing damage throughout the 2025/26 campaign, while attacking defenses can cause damage.
