Everton leads the race to sign Sunderland’s sensational Chris Rigg

People have generally considered the best British talent since 17-year-old Jude Bellingham and 17-year-old Chris Rigg have attracted attention from Premier League clubs since the stunning season in the championship game. He has played 40 league games, scored 4 goals and provided an assist to help Sunderland make the play-offs.

In 1927, England signed a contract with an international under 19, but Black Cats faced increasing pressure to keep him in control in case they missed the promotion. According to reports, Everton currently leads the campaign for Chris Rigg, and Chris Rigg is also wanted by Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Crystal Palace.

David Moyes’ clubs may activate their summer transfer program for youngsters, and Rigg is touted as a great young talent that can be brought in at a relatively low cost. Toffees reached a deal with Sunderland for more than £30 million this summer for the 17-year-old.

Everton wants Chris Rigg to be part of David Moyes’ reconstruction

Friedkin Group, the new owner of Everton, will support David Moyes in the transfer market and support several areas of its underperforming team. Merseyside’s outfit has several first-team players at the end of the season, and five loanees, whose futures must be resolved soon.

The club’s recruitment team has begun working hard to close the deal quickly. Former Manchester United and Blackburn Rangers scout Mick Brown believes Chris Rigg’s action against Everton will benefit him a lot.

“I do think it’s possible to move to Everton,” Mick Brown told Football Insider exclusively.

“They are a seasoned outfit, so there’s a lot of benefits for Rigg there, like the young guys who benefited from Everton. David Moyes wanted to add young talent to that team, and Rigg was the guy I knew they were looking for.

“He will have time to grow and develop, and then once he goes further, he can also move to a man or Chelsea. Currently, moving to Everton or a team like Everton is most likely for him.”

That being said, Everton’s victory over several Premier League rivals signed by Rigg in the summer was nothing more than a big coup.
