Life is about to change dramatically for head coach Skip Johnson and his Oklahoma Clippers team.
OU has been a member of the Big 12 Conference for the past two decades. For the most part, the Sooners have had some good times in the league. OU hosted regionals last season with a 40-21 record and an impressive 23-7 league record. It endured a see-saw year in '23, and of course it proudly took back the conference torch in 2022 with a College World Series national runner-up finish, with Skip's club previously knocking off the SEC's top seed in the tournament.
