In the shadow of Disney's Magic Kingdom, something magical happened at the University of Central Florida last season.
Rich Wallace brought in 20 transfers and eight freshmen, plus a new staff, in his first season at his alma mater and put it all together to help the Orlando-based Cavaliers. Entering the NCAA regionals for the first time since 2017.
In the Tallahassee Regional, the third-seeded Cavaliers defeated second-seeded Alabama 8-7. UCF then eliminated Stetson 5-2 before being defeated by host Florida State in the finals.
