Callaway has always set the bar high for hitting.

They've taken pride in their drive technology over the years, and it's easy for the company to sit back and accept the praise.

Instead, they invested more than $2 million in new research and development.

The result is the new Elyte range, and it doesn't disappoint.

As they themselves declare: “The future of performance is Elyte.”

The industry is always excited about new drivers, and we'll take you through four different models.

Let's start with the new Elyte itself – what exactly is it?

It is the core model of the range, offering the most adaptability with one weight and three weight slots (for hook, hook and neutral).

I heard the speed is amazing?

Enhanced shape brings Elyte speed – meaning enhanced aerodynamics deliver speed throughout the golf swing, while the improved shape is designed to maximize speed by providing improved forgiveness and launch conditions .

What about materials?

This is the high end – in fact, the future of composites.

The Elyte driver has a new heat-fused carbon fiber crown. It's aircraft-grade carbon fiber for fast clubhead speed while optimizing launch and spin.

Is AI involved?

Oh yes. Callaway said artificial intelligence is having an impact on everything they do now.

Artificial intelligence has made advances in optimal distance, control and launch. This is Callaway’s most advanced artificial intelligence face to date.

The new Ai10x Face offers 10 times more control points than the Ai Smart Face™.

It's designed to generate blazing ball speed, tight dispersion and optimized face launch.

And how to adjust it?

A modern shape with this adjustability.

The new Elyte adjustable perimeter weighting system utilizes 13 grams of removable weight for neutral, draw or fade settings.

The Elyte model features a matte carbon crown, modern styling and a V-shaped pattern on the topline to inspire confidence off the tee and ease of alignment.

Finally, what about the details?

The axes are:

True Temper Project X Denali Charcoal
50g (5.5-R, 6.0-S)
60 grams (6.0-S, 6.5-X)

and Mitsubishi Chemical Vanquish PL
40g (R2)

The grip is Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 (50 grams).
