Nottingham Forest owner Nuno Espirito Santo said the FA Cup was “a game we like” and his team won the free throw victory over Ipswich on the city ground with a gunfight.
Forest legend Brian Clough couldn’t win the famous trophy in the spell of responsibility – losing the 1991 final to Tottenham Hotspur – it was the 66 years of their last victory.
Ryan Yates’ header scored a 1-1 draw, forcing the gunfight, with goalkeeper Matz Sels saving Jack Taylor’s effort.
sNuno says: Achieving ITV: “The players did a great job. We competed very well.
“The first half was flat for both teams. I’m glad the boys achieved and our fans were happy tonight.
“It’s the game now. We have Manchester City in the league and then we can focus on the FA Cup. It’s a game we love and we’ll do our best.”

Goalkeeper Sels jumped to the left after nine perfect fines, leaving Taylor out and said his team was looking forward to further progress.
He said: “I’m glad I can help the team to the next round. This is my only fine in the right corner. Before the game, you learn the penalty and I went to the wrong corner, but that’s right. I’m happy for the team.
“The game is not very good. Finally, the extra time is a gamble, you don’t want to bet too much. In the penalty, one of the goalkeepers will be a hero. I’m so glad, and now looking forward to the weekend.
“We know what to do. The FA Cup is really good. A few games and you can make it to the finals.”
