Former Milan boss Pioli

Al-NASSR manager Stefano Pioli said he believes his team has performed well despite facing criticism against Esteghlal in Tehran in the first leg of the AFC Champions League match 16.

Former AC Milan boss Pioli failed to win 11 of 11 games in 30 games since taking over Portugal coach Luis Castro at Saudi Professional League club on September 18, including two losses and one victory in the last five of all matches.

“I’m happy with the team’s performance,” Pioli said through Byannassr. “We must not forget that there is [the second leg] In Riyadh. ”

Al-Nassr defeated Al-Orobah for the first time ever last Friday against Saudi Pro League rivals and finished second in season 2 last season, meaning they were fourth in fourth-place leader Al-Ittihad with 11 league campaigns left.

Some fans expressed their dissatisfaction with Pioli on X following the deadlock at 78,116 easy-to-action Esteghlal, with Jhon Duran, who signed from Aston Villa in January, was closest to Iran’s side in the closest Iran team.

Pioli: “Do you want Al-Nassr to succeed?”

The Al Al Nassr district, with more than 61,000 followers, demanded the exit of Pioli and suggested he be hired to make supporters “suffer”, accusing 59 and his employees of “terrible jobs” and giving Cristiano Ronaldo’s team “no identity.”

“You need to take action because things are getting worse every day,” the account told club CEO Jaman Alsorour. “Do you want Al-Nassr to succeed? If you do, things need to be changed as soon as possible.”

al-NASSR held the sixth Al-Shabaab on its top domestic flights on Friday (7 p.m. GMT). The second round against Estegrar will be held on March 10 (6 p.m. GMT).

Why doesn’t Ronaldo play in Nasr, Iran?

Al Jazirah reported that Pioli said the captain and Saudi professional league top scorer Ronaldo was missing the “physical reason” of the 2,200 miles round trip.

Pioli doesn’t want to get five Ballon d’Or title injuries on his Instagram account, and they shared information about his team’s support on his Instagram account – the person who has been most watched on the platform – a few hours before the kickoff, tell them: “Go.”

Before the game started, DPA News reported via MailOnline that Al-Nassr had written to organizers asking the game to play “on neutrality” due to “Ronaldo’s bad experience in Tehran”.

Police reportedly had to disperse the crowds at the El Nasr Hotel when they visited the Tehran Club in September 2023.

Ronaldo was not involved when Al-Nassr was against Persepolis at Azadi Stadium on February 17, although his team had qualified for the last 16.

Tarisca: Nasr’s “real mistake”

Former Nasr striker Talisca claimed he “knows the club’s real mistakes”, wrote on X on Friday.

“[Duran] Talisca, who headed to Fenerbahce on January 29, said: “I am a great player and will do a lot for this club.

“The problem is that you always want to blame someone for failure, but you can’t see where the real mistake is.

“Stop doing this all the time. You know where the error is, you’re just afraid to say it. The most important thing is that you want to do to Duran what they did to me to benefit others.”

Esteghlal vs al-Nassr

Pioli made four changes to Esteghlal, bringing Sadio Mane to Ronaldo, Nawaf Boushal for Majed Qashish and Wingers Qashish and wingers awad ali al-Hassan and Ayman Yahya for Abdulmajeed al-Sulayhem and Wesley Teixeira.

The hosts played five-man defense and had 29% of the first half, but Iranian national team newcomer Mohammad Reza Azadi Azadi tested al-NASSR goalkeeper Bento with an angled drive.

In an end-to-end encounter, Ramin Rezaeian excelled in leading Ayman Yahya’s header as Iran International Hosseini went all out.

After the break, Esteghlal threatened to go to space in space, marking a bright restart after Kyrgyzstan striker Joel Kojo heads to Azadi in half.

Sohrabian turned to the provider shortly after providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, finding Rezaeian in front of the goal, and from the left searching for the cross, his defender could only nod and nod.

Ronaldo faces Estegral in the second round?

Al-Nassr beat Esteghlal 1-0 during the group stage on October 22.

Esteghlal is newly managed by former Crvena Zvezda boss Miodrag Bozovic and won the AFC Champions League in 1970 and 1991.

Tehran’s oldest professional team has won nine Persian Gulf Professional Leagues, but is currently ranked ninth among the division’s 16 clubs, winning just six of the first 21 league games of the season.

Ronaldo has scored six goals in the AFC Champions League this season as the 40-year-old hopes to win the Arab Club Champions League of that year since joining the AL-NASSR in early 2023.

Four of these goals were played in his last three games of the game, twice each to Katari opponent Al-Gharafa on November 25 and at home on February 3 on Emirati’s Al-Wasl.
