Fulham and Marco Silva are now interested in signing a £30,000-a-week player as a replacement for close ties to Kyle Walker-Peters, Sky Sports reported.

The Goats are still looking for a European attraction, but with four games left in the league, their time is running out and they can’t close the gap. So while they want to complete the season as best as possible, the focus of Silva and club hierarchy may slowly turn to next season and what they hope to do in the summer.

Talks: Fulham
The Goats are negotiating to sign a midfielder, whose performance in the Champions League this season has attracted attention.
Fulham reportedly contacted Juventus about Nicolo Savona’s deal last week. The Italians have appeared on Fulham’s radar, but they are not alone, as several other teams from England are also keen to sign the versatile defender.
He isn’t the only defender on their target list, because once he expires in Southampton, the Cottagers are keen to sign Kyle Walker-Peters, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. Once the campaign is over, the Premier League plans will hold talks with his agents.
Silva’s transfer news doesn’t stop there, just as Liverpool’s negotiations on signing Antonee Robinson, Fulham brought up the idea of re-signing Harvey Elliott, who appears to be leaving Anfield by the end of the season. The Brit is looking for more regular game time, and returning to Craven Cabin may appear on the card.

But strengthening the defense seems to be a priority for Silva, as the Goats stare at a player who can be considered Walker Pates. According to Sky Sports, Fulham is eager to sign Ben Johnson of Ipswich Town this summer.
He is one of many right-backs the club is considering, but Johnson reportedly has no release clauses, and given his three-year contract left, he remains a key part of Kieran McKenna’s plan.
Johnson was described as “awesome” by football scout Antonio Mango, who joined the tractor boy in the summer transfer window after leaving West Ham. England’s under-21 international teams can also report at centre-back and left-back, and Ipswich has played 22 times in the Premier League so far, scoring a goal and registering two assists.

McKenna is likely to want to keep Johnson’s, who earns £30,000 a week on Portman Road, but it may be too good to stay in the Premier League and offer a team that is not expected to get into relegation trouble.
