Glamorgan have sacked head coach Grant Bradburn after allegations of inappropriate behavior were made against the New Zealander.

Welsh County referred Bradburn to the independent cricket regulator following the allegations and the 58-year-old was subsequently charged with misconduct.

A Glamorgan statement said: “We believe a fair and transparent process was followed in this case.”

“Glamorgan Cricket has a zero-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination.

“Following the completion of our own internal investigation, it has become clear that Mr Bradburn's position is untenable and the club is now providing appropriate support to those affected.”

Club chairman Mark Ridge-Roberts added: “At Glamorgan Cricket Club we put the welfare of our staff first and are providing support to those affected.

“We are extremely proud of our record and we ensure that everyone involved with the club feels respected, belongs and is treated fairly.”

Hamilton-born Bradburn was an amateur player who played seven Test matches and 11 one-day internationals for New Zealand between 1990 and 2001.

Bradburn coached the North End and New Zealand Under-19s in his home country before being appointed Scotland head coach in 2014.

He coached Scotland to their historic first ODI victory over England in 2017 and had a brief spell as Pakistan head coach in 2023 before signing a three-year deal with Glamorgan last January.

Bradburn guided Glamorgan to a One-Day Cup victory in September and finished fifth in Division Two of the Vitality County Championship.
