Bryson DeChambeau said he “scamdled the sleeves” and our well-equipped team had ideas about what this might mean.
After finishing T2 at the PGA Championship last week, Dechambeau essentially still shrugged him off, especially his golf ball.
“I really think what needs to happen is very transparent here, just getting a golf ball flying slightly direct shot,” he said. “Everyone is talking about how direct shots of golf balls are. Well, over 190 [mph ball speed] Like Rory and myself, controlling golf is actually hard.
“The ball has a lot of side sticks because our golf balls are in the air for longer.
Sure, everyone wants a golf ball, but in this week’s golf episode, Guest Johnny Wunder and Guest Kellen Watson, one of Callaway’s Tour Reps, have expressed their thoughts on the demand for DeChambeau.
“I think he needs a basically lower Chromesoft,” Wunder said, who has participated in part of a conversation with DeChambeau about his golf. “He is looking for more consumer-based golf balls that are forgiving from left to right, right to left because he will spend every ton of golf there.”
Watson offers his own perspective.
“He’s looking for something that can fire lower and rotate, almost at the bottom of his bag,” Watson said. “He can then also take advantage of each lesson with his length and speed and still get the same apex.”
The problem with DeChambeau is that his swing is so fast that his golf ball will spin too high into the air and then be difficult to control. Interestingly, DeChambeau has switched from low start and low spin Pro V1X left DASH to high-end Pro V1X this year.
“He asked for something like the golf Jinluck,” Watson said. “And I’m not, from my professional perspective, I don’t know if there’s a person right now.”
