With its reliable hot (dry) weather, modern courses, stunning clubs and excellent practice facilities, DP World Tour Professionals also love the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as a growing number of amateur golfers.
During the course, Desert Safari, Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Gallery are also special to fill your time.
But the biggest connection is on the track in Abu Dhabi, behind the wheel.
On the route are Yas Marina Circuit, host of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Ferrari World at Yas Island.
It's three outstanding golf courses, all designed by respected architects, that will make any golf trip even better.
A warm-up to the Ryder Cup – the Team Cup – took place at the DP World Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
3. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club
This might actually be the most beautiful of the three dishes.
All of these feature sand (DU, being Middle Eastern), but this looks like a course built on a beach rather than a desert or desert scrub.
The city is in the distance and looks great at sunset, the ocean is in the other direction, and Gary's players can create pretty wild layouts at times, which is very sensible here.
It has yet to play on a major tour, but the Challenge Tour has visited in the past two years, and Danish young star Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen won the title last season.
Fun fact: Sometimes you can see gazelles running throughout the course – keep your eyes peeled early and late in the day.
2. Abu Dhabi Golf Resort
Version used for the 16th Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, this is a big boys golf course.
Martin Kaymer, Paul Casey and Tommy Fleetwood were multiple winners, with Rickie Fowler, Shane Lowry, Lee Westwood and Tyrrell Hatton all winning once.
It's a long golf course and designer Peter Harradine asked big questions for drivers – one that will appeal to handicap golfers who like to test themselves, as well as those who like to tread in the footsteps of the Giants Man (Tiger ran this course! Robert Rock beat him and beat him in 2012).
Others may be put off.
However, everyone will enjoy playing the ninth and 18th holes, which both skirt and lake, and then head toward the famous Falcon Club feat.
1. YAS Link Abu Dhabi
Designer Kyle Phillips, best known for the Middle East's first true links golf course, is widely regarded as having succeeded in his mission.
Phillips is also responsible for Kingsbarns – this time another new links course near St Andrews.
Both are fun and entertaining.
From T-shirts, fairways roll, greens attract and repel holes.
The current host venue for the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi, it's also visually great and a lot of fun – which is why it gets top marks.
Another fun fact: Ferrari World ignored Yas Links.
