Casemiro said it would be “too early” to determine whether he will stay at Manchester United next season.
The Brazilian midfielder shortened the game under manager Ruben Amorim, who also expressed his desire to have more minutes on the court.
The 33-year-old has been signing at Old Trafford until 2026, but potential departures from the upcoming transfer window are growing as United hopes to trim its wage bill.
Speaking about his future, Casemiro suggests that any decision may be closer to summer.
“It’s too early to talk about next season, but I certainly have a year’s contract and then choose,” he said. “We have important games, and on Sunday, we have Arsenal.
“It’s too early to talk about next season. I’m here, I can be full of happiness and prepare for the coach and the club. I’m known to be a big player in the club.”

Casemiro has played a key role in the midfield since joining Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2022.
But since Amorim took charge in November, he has only been limited to seven games. With doubts about adaptation to Manuel Ugarte – United’s recent 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad – Casemiro is likely to play against Arsenal this weekend.
Despite the reduced role, the experienced midfielder made it clear that he remains committed to giving the best of his team while acknowledging his desire for more game time.
“I certainly want to play, but I always say, it’s my values, I have a lot of respect for coaches, I respect the club,” he added. “Every day I go to Carrington or Old Trafford, I do my best. If the player is on the bench and is happy, then that player is not worth it to any team.
“Of course I want to play, I want to spend more time, but the coach is the one who makes the decision and I have a lot of respect for him and the club.”
