Guardiola says Champions League qualification will be a “huge success” after Manchester City is late for Everton

Pep Guardiola admitted to qualifying for the Champions League after he ranked fourth in Manchester City, which beat Everton 2-0 in the Premier League.

City snatched all threes on its last trip to Goodison Park, pounding the home in the 85th minute Nico O’Reilly, replacing the car’s growing thirds away, and then substitute Mateo Kovacic locked down points at stop time.

It’s mostly a monotonous thing, but Guardiola’s side has found a way to win as they want to get the top five and ensure they qualify for elite European club football next season.

The city owner said it would be a major achievement to achieve the Champions League status.

“We made progress in the second half, our players performed much better, and in the end, we found the goals we needed to win the game,” Guardiola said.

“The Champions League that entered this country has had a huge success, a huge success. They won’t convince me.

“In the past, when we won the Premier League, I kept trying to celebrate it even before we knew we were already qualifying because I knew how difficult it was.”

Guardiola was also quick to applaud O’Reilly, 20: “Our fans love Nico because they like the academy players.

“He is another player who can help us.”

Speaking about the stadium in Everton, the city manager admitted that he had some painful memories from his previous visits, but added that he would be hard to see.
