Dud’s Chelsea career is over, £40,000 a week

Chelsea’s activity in the transfer market has attracted attention in recent years, splashing cash in the near future, trying to return to the Premier League.

Todd Boehly has certainly invested a lot of money to hand over Enzo Maresca to the tools of Stamford Bridge, while the Italians have a wide range of players to choose from.

The 46-year-old often relies on his midfield core, and Ecuador has started every game in the league since its appointment.

He may have spent a record £115 million in English in the summer of 2023, but given his regularity in the first team, it has cost a lot of money and hope every penny is worth it.

For another player, it cannot be said that he failed to deliver goods in West London a lot after he joined the Blues a few years ago.

Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea Statistics

As early as the summer of 2022, Chelsea signed £50m to Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, hoping to inject quality into the club’s frontline.

However, the move was a disaster for both sides, working hard to have an ideal impact – ultimately leading to his loan relocation to Arsenal for the current campaign.

The British played nine times during the Bridge’s debut campaign, making 10 points better in the next campaign – but after Maresca arrived, he eventually fell off the pecking order.

During his three years in West London, the 30-year-old scored just 19 times in 81 games, with an average of only one goal per 4.2 games – not at the top attacker level at all.

Given his £325,000 per week salary, coupled with his insufficient influence on the Blues, it would surprise him to see him keep moving forward in the summer, and another player needs to be shipped out as well.

Players who should never play for Chelsea again

Given the influx of transfers in recent years, sales may always be needed, and Sterling only has one player to sacrifice after a lack of positive impact.

However, it is difficult for academy players to incorporate their claims into the first team, which makes the club desperate to succeed after such high spending.

One player who unfortunately developed is forward Armando Broja, who looks as if he can lead the Blues forward at a stage.

The Albanian International joined the club at the age of nine and won his first team chance in the 2022/23 campaign.

The 23-year-old managed to score three times in two seasons with the first team on the Bridge and ended up losing his place due to an ACL injury.

Broja has since borrowed two separate spells in Fulham and then held her current campaign with Everton – but her injury raised her head again.

The striker, who earned £40,000 a week, made only six appearances for Toffees, and his last outing returned in January after he didn’t show up until after moving in the summer.

After a start and zero goals at Goodison Park, people began to express dissatisfaction with their inadequate influence, with one of the writers claiming to be a “complete waste” of increasing loans.

Given his constant struggle from West London, coupled with his lack of action when fitting, Maresca needs to part ways with this summer’s striker, and the 23-year-old still has some value.

Broja and Sterling need to be the first two players outside the goal before setting off to hand over the boss to take charge of the Blues based on his impressive first season.
