Hojlund Rescue Points to Damage Cherries’ European Hope

Rasmus Hojlund scored a 1-1 draw at Manchester United at Bournemouth for a 96th minute equaliser.

Bournemouth made his first appearance in Manchester United’s Premier League after putting the Cherries in the 23rd minute.

But in the 70th minute, when Evan Nelson was fired for a foul on Noussair Mazraoui, the host was reduced to 10 people.

United eventually scored an additional number, and when Hoylund returned home from close range, he received a portion of the trophy, which gave Ruben Amorim’s man a big blow to Bilbao ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final and a big blow to Bournemouth’s hopes for European football.

Bournemouth v. Manchester United

Alejandro Garnacho got his first clear chance of the game for the first time when Manchester United got a relatively bright start, but he will soon be suffering from the pain of falling behind and the consequences of a frivolous Tyler Adams challenge that could be severely punished.

Adams showed Adams a yellow card after grabbing his ankle. VAR checked and cleared the decision, aiming to be a free kick generated by Manchester United squandering possession in half its depths.

The ball returned to Onana and ended up working on the left for Patrick Dorgu, just letting Adam Smith snatch Dane, whose ball was dropped by Evanilson and sent it into Evanilson’s road with the help of Casemiro.

Garnacho twice approached finding a response to Manchester United before the break, Kepa Arrizabalaga denied that he had lasted a long ball on the top of Noussair Mazraoui, and the winger later shot again as another promising opportunity begged.

However, after the interval, United’s threat was reduced and they were lucky not to fall further as Semenyo curled for three minutes in the second half and Dango Outtara played a free kick against the position and Illya Zabarnyi’s efforts on the rebound were broad.

When Bournemouth was reduced to 10 men, the game seemed to turn to Manchester United’s support as Evanilson saw the wild challenge of the red against Mazraoui. Evanilson was initially shown in yellow, but the penalty escalated after bringing Peter Bankes to Pitchside Monitor. The replay shows that Evanilson glided in the challenge, but Bankes still dominated the tackle worthy of firing.

United have since taken ownership, but are frustrated by the close efforts of substitute Mason Mount before Chido Obi-Martin and Bruno Fernandes approached each other.

However, in the sixth minute of nine minutes, Hojlund stood out from Manuel Ugarte’s pass after entering the box from Luke Shaw’s ball.
