How do they line up next season

It will be a turbulent summer at Manchester United.

The club has been underperforming again this season and will resume Premier League with 13 next week, with the Europa League being the main focus for the remaining weeks.

The real work will then begin, and Ruben Amorim and the club’s recruiting team (led by technical director Jason Wilcox) will try to overhaul the swollen squad and keep the club within the narrow range specified by the PSR.

This is a balancing act, mainly depends on player sales. Manchester Evening News recently reported that Manchester United hopes to lay off at least 10 players this summer, including high-income earners Marcus Rashford, Casemiro and Anthony.

Rashford won’t be short of suitors, even though Aston Villa is reluctant to choose to trade its loans permanently, and Antony’s loan spell at Real Betis shows that he’s better than the players who failed at Old Trafford.

If Manchester United can change some dead wood, it will leave some swing space to bring fresh players in.

Here we outline what a good summer window means for Manchester United.

goalkeeper

In an ideal world, Amorim wants to keep going the wrong-prone Andre Onana, the Saudi professional league of Cameroonians is interested.

Backup Altay Bayindir is eager to promote his career elsewhere, while veteran Tom Heaton will retire, so United may need at least two new shooters.

Souvenirs from Senne Lammens and Toulouse in Antwerp have been mentioned as the targets of formerly interesting Manchester City and Newcastle. Also need a cheap number two.

defense

Amorim’s preference for the 3-4-2-1 establishment, and the expected departure of Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof, meant that the central defender was a priority. On the plus side, both Leny Yoro and Lisandro Martinez hope for an injury-free season, and Ayden Heaven’s rapid rise to the first-team battle means United may only need to sign another half. They have a connection with Turkish International Yusuf Akcicek, who plays Fenerbahce in Jose Mourinho.

At the defender position, Patrick Dorgu’s signature solves the long-term problem on the left. If Luke Shaw’s injury doom ends, they will be even stronger.
Diogo Dalot remains one of Manchester United’s more consistent performers, and he can take the right-back slot.

Midfielder

Where to start?

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro may leave, while Kobbie Mainoo’s career has stalled due to injuries.

United, along with Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte, need at least one defensive midfielder. Jobe Bellingham fits United’s targeted player image, a talented teenager who can develop under Amorim. Sunderland could be sold for over £30m, although that may depend on whether the wearer can advance this season. Bellingham already has a body that is rigorous in dealing with Premier League football.

Amorim plays two narrow 10s, and it makes sense for Bruno Fernandes to occupy one of the slots. The Portuguese figures speak for themselves, and a more advanced character will be perfect for him.

Next to him, Manchester United should target Marco Asensio. The Spanish international team thrived on the villa with a loan, but no automatic clauses made the deal permanent, allowing Manchester United to surrender.

forward

All the discussion about Amorim reunion with Viktor Gyokerers of Sporting CP, there is only one man this summer Manchester United should be the target, and that’s Victor Osimhen.

Nigeria International International Team was loaned to Galatasaray after Chelsea failed to reach a deal with Naples on the deadline.

Osimhen will add body, rhythm and completion ability in the lack of a uniformity of proper numbers this season. He won’t be cheap, but he will reach his peak at 26.

Team players

Amorim may rather sell products like Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho – probably Rasmus Hojlund – but finding a buyer can be difficult.

The versatility of Amad Diallo is useful, and Mason Mount may eventually prove its fitness, just like a new contract.

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui can provide defensive cover.

Potential Joint XI:
lammens; Maguire, Yoro, Akcicek; Dorgu; Mainoo, Bellingham; Fernandez (Asensio); Osimmon
