The 2025 John Deere Classic saw big names like Rickie Fowler, Max Homa and Jason Day enter the four cities for a variety of reasons this week.
The day’s stay was short because he missed the layoffs after the round before the opening. Fowler acquitted himself, but his nine-point shooting percentage on Friday was destined to win. Then, Homa arrives at TPC Deere Run, still looking for top forms, putting him in the top ten in the world’s official golf rankings.
Homa fell behind defending champion Davis Thompson in the final round on Sunday, hoping to be the first player to win the title at John Deere as Steve Stricker won three straight games from 2009 to 2011.
But a soft course brings a tie-in ranking, with 20 players on Sunday starting out on Thompson’s four goals, including amateur Jackson Coyvin, Matt Kuchar and Brian Campbell.
