Kraken Blank Canucks 5-0-Hockey Writer-Seattle Cleken

On Wednesday, April 2, Vancouver Carnac hosted Seattle Kraken for the fourth and final game of the 2024-25 season. Cracon leads the season series 2-1. Kraken also won the season series in a 5-0 victory in Seattle.

Game review

Despite Vancouver having two strong match opportunities in the first phase, it still scored 3:18 on the board. Michael Eyssimont drove the puck into Kraken’s offensive zone but was stolen by Canucks. He is next to Jake Debrusk who has hockey. DeBrusk is not looking at where he passes and sends it directly to Eyssimont’s stick. Eyssimont slides to the net at speed. He shot and scored Seattle’s first goal of the night.

Halfway through the second phase, Kraken expanded his lead. Jared McCann crosses the neutral zone and enters the offensive zone in Kraken. He sent a pass to Andre Burakovsky at the blue line. Chandler Stephenson glided in front of him and Burakovsky sent him a pass. Once he hit the confrontation point, Stephenson fired a shot and hit the top corner of the net.

With four minutes left for the second time, McCann sent a pass from the Blue Line to Shane Wright. With a high shot, he sent the puck into the top corner of the net, with Stephenson’s goal shadow. Claken ended the second stage with a three-goal lead.

In nine minutes of the third phase, Burakovsky gained control of the puck and hit a shot. He passed McCann, who slid through the neutral zone with Burakovsky on a 3-to-2 score. McCann handed the puck to Burakovksy, who fired and raised Seattle’s lead to four goals.

With four and a half minutes left in the third stage, the Canucks pulled Thatcher Demko in hopes of a comeback. A minute later, Adam Larsson picked up the puck from Tye Kartye’s pass. Larsson slipped into Kraken’s offensive zone and shot. Larsson scored on the empty net, increasing Seattle’s lead to five goals.

Next

Both teams will return to action on Saturday, April 5. The Canucks will host the Anaheim Ducks for an afternoon showdown. Kraken will head south to California, where they will compete in the San Jose Sharks for an evening showdown.
