Anthony Davis suspected that the La Lakers had called for the first person after the news after the shocked decision to trade him to the Mavericks: “I don’t know…”

Anthony Davis is not sure if he believes the Los Angeles Lakers story is the story behind Luka Doncic, who decided to trade him to the Dallas Mavericks.
It’s less than a month since the blockbuster trade sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers (Anthony Davis), Max Christie and first-round picks. But, over the past three weeks, it feels like a lifelong story has happened.
All parties claimed the deal was secretly taken, with Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison reaching out to the Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka. The Mavericks have Davis as the star of their desire to fulfill their championship wishes rather than Doncic.
Everyone knows that Doncic has a hard time with this deal, as legendary Dwight Howard has been laid out lately at the center of a lot of negative emotions. But in this combination, people forget that others are struggling with it. Anthony Davis is also not ready to deal with Agent Rich Paul, revealing that they don’t know the deal is coming soon.
Now that Davis has spent nearly a month recovering from his injury, he is not sure if he believes the Lakers’ reasons for the secrets of the deal.
Anthony Davis reveals that he talks to LeBron James and doubts the Lakers story behind the deal
Anthony Davis spoke to the media after losing to the Lakers 99-107 on Tuesday. He openly discusses what was touched (the Los Angeles Times) and how he seeks LeBron James for a conversation after the deal is made public.
“When it happened, honestly, I didn’t know S. He’s been running for six years…so the first thing I wanted to do was call him. … Obviously, I know there’s a lot of political stuff in the front desk when they talk to me.”
“The front desk has to do what it has to do, and obviously they will do the best for the organization. So, I don’t know if I ever had any “real” about it.
“I don’t know what’s true or not from the upstairs. So my thing is that I’m going to go to someone who I’ve been running with and see what’s going on, get his reaction, that’s it. We had a conversation. That’s it.”
Davis made it clear that he didn’t think anyone was completely honest about the situation. Anyway, he chose to keep moving forward.
“Everyone said no one knew, and everyone else knew. I just didn’t believe it. But hey, I went over. I was ready to go with Dallas and try to win the championship with these guys. First, go back to the floor and get ready for the game. All the emotions, s-suspended that night, and it was just a shock.”
The Lakers pay tribute to Davis on their return
Tuesday’s Mavericks’ visit was their last time this season facing the Lakers at Crypto.com arena. Even though Davis was left out due to injury, the Lakers honored the former champion with video tribute after the first game timeout.
The 31-year-old expressed his gratitude and the Lakers paid tribute to him with such respect.
“I don’t know, I didn’t handle it. I might have to watch it again. I’m just in the game…I really didn’t have the chance to dissect the video and feel the feeling I wanted. But this is the first time I have it and I think it’s really what the Lakers did. I’m honored and grateful because they even considered doing it for me.”
The Lakers are moving forward with Doncic, who has now played in six games. Anthony Davis played one game after only getting injured after making his debut against the Houston Rockets.
He is now forced to watch from the outside due to injury. Nevertheless, he will prioritize moving forward from the deal by adapting to the new team and city.
“They want people they want. They do what they have to do. I don’t know if they have to do it, but that’s what they want to do. I keep going, I have a wife and kids worried. You know what I’m talking about? I’m figuring out how to take them to Dallas and adjust it.
“It’s over and I’m moving forward with the new team and as we keep moving forward.”
