Hurricane is still alive, rejecting Panthers 3-0 in Game 4 – Hockey Writer – Carolina Hurricane

The Carolina Hurricanes beat the first Eastern Conference finals 3-0 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. For the 1,000th time in this playoffs, both teams once again eliminated a handful of players due to injuries. The absentees of Black Panther are Niko Mikkola, Sam Reinhart and AJ Greer. Jesper Boqvist, Uvis Balinksis and Nico Sturm attracted them as alternatives. For the Hurricane, Sean Walker and Jalen Chatfield were still scratched, filled by Alexander Nikishin and Scott Morrow.

Game review

The Panthers’ offensive offense stopped in Game 3. The Panthers had two odd sprint opportunities within three minutes of the game. However, hurricanes are not without combat. Sebastian Aho and Jackson Blake have 15 minutes left in the first stage and arguably their best chances are at Sergei Bobrovsky’s doorstep throughout the series, but Bobrovsky stood high and denied them. Neither team had an inch, though, and the first stage ended with a scoreless draw. The goal-scoring shot favored the Hurricane, 11-7.

The second phase starts more the same: round-trip hockey, with opportunities everywhere, but ultimately the same as the first phase. Hurricanes during this period are significantly better than any period in this series. Midway through the game, the score was still tied 0-0, but the shot scored strongly and favored the cane at a speed of 19-8. With nine minutes left in the second phase, the Hurricane broke the scoreless tie and led by Logan Stankoven for the first time in the series. Nikishin helped Stankoven’s goal, who registered his first career in the game. The second stage is with the Hurricane moving forward in the scoreboard (1-0) and the goal bar (23-12).

The hurricane continues to stand up in phase 3. The Panthers only scored one shot on the goal in the first five minutes of the period. Anton Lundell has a chance to show up in a disconnect but trips over Nikishin from behind. The Panthers didn’t get free throws for some reason, but they did get a chance in the power play. However, it ended up having nothing, and the third stage continued to be at an average. Just a few seconds after the Hurricane killed the free throw, they scored the second night, boosting the score to 2-0, but the goal was called back due to offside. In the final frame of the game, the goal-scoring shots remained in favor of the 24-17 Hurricanes. With about two minutes left in the game, the Panthers pulled Bobrowski. The Hurricane almost immediately caps the empty net, bringing the score line to 2-0. In the following seconds, Captain Hurricane Jordan Staal will add another one, extending the lead of the crutch to 3-0.
