The relegation looks set to lead to a busy summer starting from Portman Road, with Liam Delap attracting interest from Chelsea and Manchester United among others. Both clubs have made a way for Delap and will be listed for £30m if Ipswich drops.
Speaking about Drapp’s future, McKenna said before Chelsea’s 2-2 game: “It’s not something to be discussed internally because to be honest, everyone’s focus has been on Bournemouth, now at Chelsea. But if you ask me, is that a possibility? I think it’s certainly a possibility. Liam is a young forward. He’s really developing in football clubs.
“He’s happy, he’s improving every week and we love working with him. I’m sure there are a lot of different possibilities. But Liam is an Ipswich player. He loves being an Ipswich player and that’s all he has to do.”
The star forward will soon need a replacement, while heart forward Lawrence Shankland and Sheffield United teenager Ryan are both fighting for Delap’s transfer goal.
Targeting youth with an action shows that Ipswich appears to be looking at potential contracts for a long time, and they have now agreed to a deal to sign another youth talent.

New methods have been made.
Mthunzi plays the centre-back in fixtures for QPR and Chelsea, but the teenager can also be a midfielder if needed.
Now he will be looking to break into McKenna’s first team program in the coming years, so Mtuz’s progress on Portman Road will be a man to watch.
