The fourth Test match between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is expected to feature a bowler-friendly pitch with a turf thickness of around 6mm, which should benefit fast bowlers, especially early in the match. While the surface helps speed things up, curator Matt Page suggests that it could also be used for batting once the new ball is negotiated, making for interesting contests between bowlers and batsmen.
