United reportedly turned to another summer goal as Bryan Mbeumo is now expected to undergo medical treatment next week.
Latest information about Man Utd’s goalkeeper search
Whether he likes it or not, the clock is in Andre Onana’s No. 1 spot as Manchester United. The Red Devils immediately started looking for upgrades this summer, and while things aren’t as fast as Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo, their pursuit is still in progress.
Most prominent are Emiliano Martinez and Diogo Costa, with several names that have become candidates. Both will be upgraded on struggling Onana, but choosing which direction Manchester United will go in is a big problem. If Statman Dave’s verdict is going to be made, it should be the latter and not the number one in Aston Villa.
Costa Rica is of course a realistic choice. Porto goalkeeper has reportedly sent the green light to Old Trafford this summer, and Ineos must now turn to negotiations with the Portuguese club.
That said, Costa will not be cheap, which may prove to be the ultimate stumbling block for the Red Devils. According to reports, the release clause is worth up to £64m and Manchester United will be forced to bring a price similar to the goalkeepers spent by Cunha and Mbeumo.

Manchester United prepares to submit Carnice’s offer
According to Italian Football, Ineos is now preparing to submit a 40 million euro (£34 million) offer to sign a bid from Atlanta-based Marco Carnesecchi, which includes a valuation of 50 million euro (£43.3 million) that can close Serie A clubs.
Like Costa, Carnesecchi is only 24 years old and has shown many signs that he will immediately upgrade Onana if he finishes this summer.

In several key areas, the Atlanta goalkeeper outperformed Onana last season. But the most striking thing is his incredibly high savings percentage, and the best context is that Alisson Becker manages only 72% of the people, which is the level of players United will sign.
Having won the “Excellent” of Italian Football News, Carnesecchi of 6-foot-3 was recently called to the premium aspect of Italy after being starred by the U21, and his eyes will eventually be staring at Dethroning Gianluigi Donnarumma despite being forced to sit down on the bench to watch.
But moving to Old Trafford might call his name before that time comes. Whether the goalkeeper answers the call remains to be seen.
